Our Farm
Founded in 2022, Moore Greens is a small family farm located in Moloa’a, Kaua’i. Monica and her husband Ryan Moore grow microgreens and hydroponic lettuce.
In 2022, after being introduced to growing microgreens, Monica was inspired by the ease and success of growing tiny broccoli microgreen seeds. (Her previous attempts to grow any type of vegetable or plant were unsuccessful!) Microgreens are the young seedlings of edible vegetables or herbs. They are harvested within a week to 10 days and are more nutritious than the mature vegetable!
With her background in nutrition science and experience as a Registered Dietitian for over 12 years, she crusades about the healthy benefits these tiny plants provide, and the ease of growing these tiny vegetables! In addition to growing lettuce and microgreens for the community, Moore Greens is on a mission to share this knowledge by providing hands-on education throughout the island.
